Even among the youngest CP growers, everybody have heard about this Pinguicula Legend.

 

Stan Lampard was the editor of the IPSG, the international Pinguicula Study Group, during all its golden age. 

 

He is also growing so many Mexican Pinguicula and crossings as you will see below.

 

You are fond of Pinguicula laueana CP 1, CP2 or CP3 ? ...don't forget to thanks him for having selected patiently these  treasures.

 

Even if he is overbooked by other activities, he will try to make inputs into the website, perhaps on his impressive hybridisation work or on field trips.

 

Do you know that he will spend a few weeks in Honduras/Guatemala this summer 2004 ?

 

He may come up with something interesting to write about...

If you don't know Stan Lampard's P. laueana complex, here are enough shots to convince you to grow them.

- 'Typical’ : Pillar-box red flowers with a creamy beauty spot on the throat. 
- 'CP2’ , clone with a rich crimson purple with elegant arching up-turned spur. 
- ‘CP3’, vibrant cerise pink flowers. 
- ‘SP1’ , like the type but no cream spot. 
- ‘SP2’, similar to the type but petals more rounded to give a ‘fuller face’ 
- ‘Reflex’, large crimson flowers with petals swept back to partly conceal the spur.
